    Resurrection Mass and Resurrection Gardens Last Friday, Fr Freddy came into school to celebrate our whole school Resurrection Mass. It was a very joyous occasion in which we celebrated through the Word of God and singing, the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Saviour. On display were a selection of beautiful Easter Resurrection Gardens made by our very creative children from Nursery to Year 6. These gardens were then taken over to Our Lady of The Rosary and St Patrick’s Church to go on display so that the parish community could also see them. During the Gospel Assembly on Monday morning, all children who made a garden were presented with a special certificate of achievement, acknowledging all of their hard work and creativity. A raffle also took place and the winner from each class received an Easter egg.      

  Catherine was a lay member of the Dominican order.  She was famous as a mystic, an activist and an author.  She might be described as the original “influencer”!  She influenced popes and princes and cardinals with her letters.  She wrote numerous prayers, and a set of spiritual treatises collected together as a book under the title  The Dialogue of Divine Providence.  She was even sent on missions by the Pope, incredibly rare for a woman in the 14 th century!
