Prayer for Peace

Sadly, the great pain, sorrow and tragedy have escalated in the Middle East. The ensuing violence brings death and creates long-lasting destruction and hatred. It seems as if during this tragic time we are helpless to stop it yet we do not want to remain inactive. We call our school community to tum our hearts to God and join us in Pope John Paul II's Prayer for Peace.

Make all men and women witnesses of truth, justice, and brotherly love. Banish from their hearts whatever might endanger peace. Enlighten our rulers that they may guarantee and defend the great gift of peace. May all peoples on the earth become as brothers and sisters.

Farewell Mrs Palmer

  Good luck and farewell Mrs Palmer after 25 years of excellent service! Mrs Palmer started at St Patrick’s in January 1999 as a Teaching Assistant.  She joined the Registered Teaching Programme (RTP) and her first teaching role was in Reception. Mrs Palmer has had many significant roles at St Patrick’s such as Religious Education Lead, Literacy Lead and Music Coordinator.  Currently she teaches music two days a week in school which she absolutely loves to do; this is where she comes alive with her joy of music and singing. Mrs Palmer’s collaboration with Waltham Forest Music Service has been amazing and has enabled our children to flourish in their musical abilities, from performing in borough-wide competitions and shows to becoming confident players of both the recorder and ukulele. One of her specialities is to rewrite the words of popular songs to celebrate teachers getting married, having babies, leaving, moving to new schools or celebrating milestones at St Patric...

  Year 6 Leavers Prayers   Ernie 6M: Lord, we thank you for the support of our parents throughout the years. We hope that they know how much we appreciate them. Although sometimes we might have difficulty showing it, we pray they know how important they are to us. Dumkene 6J: Lord, we pray for the staff of our school. We thank them for their support and guidance throughout our time in primary school. May they continue to guide and support all who pass through this school. Zuzanna 6M: Today is a special day for giving thanks. We pray that we will be more thankful in life and always include Jesus in our daily lives. We pray that we will always have the ability to show love and forgiveness as Jesus taught us. Efenoma 6J: We think of all the friends we have made while at primary school. May we continue to laugh together and support each other when times are difficult. Guide us when making new friendships as we move on to our secondary schools.
