 Applying for a secondary place for September 2024

 The information on this page relates to those children born between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2013 who need to apply to start secondary school in September 2024.  If your child is currently in Year 6, they are due to start secondary school in September 2024.

 You must apply for a secondary school place for your child even if they have an older brother or sister at your preferred school. If your child attends an All Through school and you wish them to automatically transfer to year 7, please contact the school who will advise you what you need to do.  If you and your child live in Waltham Forest, you must apply through Waltham Forest. If you and your child live outside Waltham Forest, you must apply to the local authority in which you live, even if you are applying for schools in other areas.

know about applying for a secondary school place. Please check the latest admissions information below for updates to

this brochure.  The best way to apply is online, through the eAdmissions website . This is a secure way to apply for your child’s school place.  The eAdmissions website opens for online applications on 1 September 2023.

 The closing date is 31 October 2023. If you are applying after this date, your application will be considered as late.

Please note that you must ALSO complete a Supplementary Information Form if you are applying to a Catholic secondary school along with a Certificate of Catholic Practice.  Please contact the secondary school/church for these forms.  These are not available from St Patrick’s.

Farewell Mrs Palmer

  Good luck and farewell Mrs Palmer after 25 years of excellent service! Mrs Palmer started at St Patrick’s in January 1999 as a Teaching Assistant.  She joined the Registered Teaching Programme (RTP) and her first teaching role was in Reception. Mrs Palmer has had many significant roles at St Patrick’s such as Religious Education Lead, Literacy Lead and Music Coordinator.  Currently she teaches music two days a week in school which she absolutely loves to do; this is where she comes alive with her joy of music and singing. Mrs Palmer’s collaboration with Waltham Forest Music Service has been amazing and has enabled our children to flourish in their musical abilities, from performing in borough-wide competitions and shows to becoming confident players of both the recorder and ukulele.   Year 6 Leavers Prayers   Ernie 6M: Lord, we thank you for the support of our parents throughout the years. We hope that they know how much we appreciate them. Although sometimes we might have difficulty showing it, we pray they know how important they are to us. Dumkene 6J: Lord, we pray for the staff of our school. We thank them for their support and guidance throughout our time in primary school. May they continue to guide and support all who pass through this school. Zuzanna 6M: Today is a special day for giving thanks. We pray that we will be more thankful in life and always include Jesus in our daily lives. We pray that we will always have the ability to show love and forgiveness as Jesus taught us. Efenoma 6J: We think of all the friends we have made while at primary school.
